Japanese Rail Sim: Journey to Kyoto is an immersive full motion video train simulator designed for the Nintendo Switch. Players take on the role of a train driver, navigating the scenic route from Kyoto into the mountains and back. The game emphasizes precision and punctuality, requiring players to stop the train as close to the designated hold line as possible, with a maximum allowance of 50 cm. Timeliness is also crucial, as players must not arrive too early or too late, with a tolerance of only three seconds.
